Practicing Skipping Makes You Better at Skipping Not Double Unders!

Okay!  Stephanie here and I am on about Double Unders.


More people should really be doing double unders in the workout instead of skipping single skips.  There are a lot of you who can do at least one double under, and some who can go double under, skip skip, double under for a bit, or even string 2 or 3 double unders together.  It seems like people think they need to be able to reel off 10 or 20 in a row in order to do them in a workout.  In a word................WRONG!  You get better at double unders by doing double unders.  Practicing single skips in the workout makes you better at skipping.  Even people who are pretty good at double unders have workouts where they do them in sets of 2 and 3 sometimes.  If you can string 2 double unders together it is time for you to do them in workouts.   It may seem slower at first, but the practice will make your double unders better, you'll string more together, your time will improve and you will own double unders!  I challenge you to try it for the next 10 WODs that have double unders and see what happens.
