We are heading into three 5 week cycles of lifting. The lifts will be Squats, Dead Lifts and Presses, and Cleans for those of you training for competition.
Week one will be dedicated to establishing your 1 rep max in three or four lifts, followed by four weeks of working on those lifts. The weeks will go as follows: 1 rep max, hard (normal), harder, hardest, easy. The work outs are going to follow the same cycle. Approach each week prepared to push yourself that little bit extra on the "harder and hardest" weeks.
This is a great opportunity to take your training to the next level. You will be coached on spotting to ensure your safety when trying weights a little heavier than you are used to. Take advantage of the expertise your coaches have to offer and make the most of these training cycles.
Make sure you record your 1 rep max so that you can work effectively for the next few weeks.
